I started reading Xan a few days ago and got to 28% and stopped. I wasn't liking his character much. I know, I know! I just had a bit of trouble with him being a douche to Breezy and all. Not just that, he knew they were mates and he still pretty much messed with other women in front of her no less. So, I really wasn't a big fan of his at first. Not at all! Breezy sorta shouldnt have made everyone think she was loose as a goose either. I picked up the book yesterday and finished it. Xan turned it around for me though because of he could be very sweet and good to her. He's still a rough kind of guy in a good way. I ended up being on board with them both by the middle. I did wanna slap Kellen around once or twice. I get he needed to be tough as hell for being alpha and Prez and all. Not sure exactly whats going on with him and Lake but I guess we'll find out at some point. Syn...we didnt see much of her in this book but she's dealing with her own stuff as well. I can't wait to see what comes out next. I ended up loving the book so dont be discouraged by my initial opinion when I first started reading it. Ha.Product details

What as I liked was the action that was also in this book. It seemed to bring the characters more alive . Xan is a true alpha that has always had feelings for Breezy but would never act upon them. Breezy has always had a thing for Xan, even to dress the the type of girls she thinks he likes. Once Breezy is on danger there is no stopping their feelings. Breezy has secrets from her past, that no one but her family knows about. Will Xan be able to help Breezy with her past and safe her.
I adore this series of books. In Xan's feisty mate we get to watch as Xan comes to terms with the fact that Breezy is his mate. Breezy has had a rough life and walking in on Xan doing things she couldn't unsee has not helped her a bit. Can Xan help her over come her past while keeping her safe. This story is fast paced and packs a punch. The characters are amazing and well thought out. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
What I truly love about this series, is that it is interwoven with the Phantom Force Series and the Mystic Wolves Series. This is the story of Kellen and Laikyn.
Kellen is the alpha of the Iron Wolves pack. He is the one in charge of protecting the pack. But there is one pack member in particular that he wants to be closer to, the feisty, sexy doctor that has his blood boiling and him seeing red, Laikyn.
Laikyn knows that in order to get Kellen out of her system she needs to leave the pack and go back to her home and the practice that she shares with the handys doctor twins. She knows that the one night oh so long ago where she and Kellen hooked up is what she compares all others to, but Kellen has a revolving door of women and she needs to get away from him if she ever wants to be free.
When Laikyn's life is in danger from an unknown force, it will force Kellen into full alpha force and he will have to face the feelings that he has been denying for years, Laikyn is it for him and he will kill anyone that tries to harm his beautiful mate.
I loved the dynamic between Laikyn and Kellen. Both try to dance around the issue until Laikyn is in trouble and then they cannot deny the chemistry, the heat and the passion that they have for each other. Laikyn is worried that she will be nothing more than a notch in Kellen's bedpost and Kellen needs to come clean that there has been nobody since her.
I love that this series overlaps with the other books in the Mystic Wolves and the Phantom Force series. Allowing the worlds to expand and the reader gets to visit their favorite characters from books past. I totally look forward to the next book in this amazing series and cannot wait to see Kellen's sister fall for her mate.
I give this amazing book 5 wolfish stars.
This is the second book in this series and I absolutely loved it!!! I was thrilled to see Xan get his story and to see him settled with someone who was worthy of putting him in his place!! I have fallen in love with these characters over these two stories and I cannot wait to see some more of these big mean wolves finding that person that completes them!! If you love paranormal books or MC books, well this one has the best of both worlds and you will fall in love with this author and her stories just like I and many others have!!
It didn't knock my socks off, but had a good foundation. I didn't really care for the protagonists. He was a douche who banged multiple women even after he knew she was his mate. Also, it never really is clear why he thinks she is a whore while she is actually a virgin. I don't get it. He had never even seen her with a man or acting slutty. He just assumed she'd been "ridden more times than a bicycle." The title is definitely misleading. She was anything but feisty. After he let his opinion of her non existent whorish behavior be known, she is instantly ready to jump in his bed the minute he finds out the truth. No talk about it, no apology for his crappy treatment of her, no remorse for him having her see him bang other women. Instead, she waxed on about him being sweet to her. He was not sweet. He was a douche. She was so weak willed. Can't stand weak. Characters. Eh! I'm giving three stars and that is generous. No to this author.
Poor Breezy is a girl with a very scarring past both emotional and fiscal. Breezy has known for a long time that Xan is her mate. Only problem is Xan doesn't think Breezy is mate material! Poor dumb Xan doesn't no what he's missing out on. That is until someone is out to kill Breezy. The lastest attack on Breezy finally gives Xander the wake up call he needed. But is it to late? Can Xander help heal Breezy emotionally and help her with the physical scars to? Can Xander keep her alive long enough to claim her? When Breezy's past come back to bite her in the butt literally can Xander get to her in time before its to late? Omg a journey of epic proportions! Twists you never see coming until the smack you in the face! I love this series. So different from other shifter books.
